Hanan M. Isaacs to present at NJAPM General Meeting, "Bringing Experts Directly to the Table: Does It Really Take a Village to Get These People Divorced?" New Jersey Law Center, New Brunswick

Many mediators refer parties to outside mental health, accounting, valuation or other experts. But sometimes it is helpful to bring subject matter experts directly to the mediation table.

This panel will discuss when direct expert participation should be considered, the proper roles for experts at the mediation table, important limitations on those roles, how to assure expert confidentiality, and related ethical and practical considerations.

Presenters:

Hanan M. Isaacs
Kingston, NJ

Douglas C. Smith

Eric D. Johnson
