Princeton, NJ (May 16, 2001) - Hanan M. Isaacs, President of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM), will open the fifth annual ADR Conference on behalf of ten co-sponsoring organizations, the largest number of sponsoring organizations in its history. The Conference, ADR Day V: Beyond the Basics, will be held June 15, 2001 at the Sheraton at Woodbridge Place, Iselin, NJ.

This broadly supported conference reflects today's multi-disciplinary approaches to conflict resolution by including lawyers, accountants, therapists, engineers, architects, and other professionals trained to diagnose and "treat" human conflicts. The sponsoring organizations include NJAPM, American Arbitration Association, New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, New Jersey Corporate Counsel Association, NJSBA Dispute Resolution Section and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy-NJ.

In the Conference keynote address, Tom Stipanowich, President CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution, will discuss The Future of Conflict Management. Robert Benjamin, a nationally known mediator, will cover Guerrilla Mediation - Unusual Mediation Tactics in his luncheon address.

Hanan Isaacs will moderate a panel of tri-state experts covering, How We Will Make a Living at ADR. According to Isaacs, "These experts will discuss the tools needed to break an ADR practice out of the garage stage and onto center stage."

Isaacs, described as a man with vision for the future of ADR, was designated the 1999-2000 ADR Practitioner of the Year by the Dispute Resolution Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA). A Princeton, NJ, litigator and mediator since 1979, Isaacs is President of NJAPM. He chaired the Dispute Resolution Section of the State Bar Association from 1996-1998. He has also served on the New Jersey Supreme Court's Complementary Dispute Resolution Committee and as an adjunct Professor at Seton Hall Law School. Isaacs, who was instrumental in creating the New Jersey Supreme Court's' multi-county pilot program in divorce mediation, has taught frequently at the annual New Jersey Judicial College given by the Administrative Office of the Courts State of New Jersey.

Isaacs served for many years as a commercial and personal injury arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association - NJ Regional office. He currently serves as a commercial and divorce mediator for the NJAPM. Named 1994 General Practitioner of the Year by the NJSBA, Isaacs is a frequent journal author, television contributor and public speaker.

NJAPM is a statewide, non-profit professional organization dedicated to promoting mediation as the preferred method of dispute resolution, to fostering excellence and providing education, training and accreditation in the field of mediation. NJAPM is currently taking a leadership role in youth peace building and youth violence prevention.
